The Immortal Tree is an ancient coast redwood along the Avenue of the Giants near Redcrest, California. Estimated to be about 1,000 years old, it survived lightning, fire, flooding and an unsuccessful attempt by loggers to cut it down. Today it stands beside Ancient Redwoods RV Park as a symbol of the remarkable endurance of the region’s redwoods.
