Founders Tree stands in Founders Grove within Humboldt Redwoods State Park near Weott, California. The towering coast redwood was named in honor of the founders of Save the Redwoods League, whose work helped preserve the surrounding forest. It can be reached along a short, easy nature trail through one of the park’s most impressive old-growth groves.
