The name lettered below the cockpit — Clipper Morning Light — identifies this aircraft as N739PA, the fifteenth 747 ever built, delivered to Pan Am in February 1970. Renamed Clipper Maid of the Seas the following decade, it was the aircraft destroyed over Lockerbie, Scotland, as Pan Am Flight 103 in December 1988.
The aircraft's name identifies it as N739PA, a Boeing 747-121 (the 15th 747 built), delivered to Pan Am on 15 February 1970.
