Passengers wait at the boarding stairs of Pan American World Airways Boeing 707 N708PA at the civil terminal at Kindley Field in Bermuda. The boarding stairway carries Pan Am’s “World’s Most Experienced Airline” slogan, while the open-air boarding scene reflects air travel before enclosed passenger bridges became common. The aircraft, named Clipper Constitution, was destroyed in the 1965 crash of Pan Am Flight 292 on Montserrat.
